Overview:
Crafty Sew & So had already built up a loyal following both online and in the city of Leicester by the time they asked us to help smooth out their brand offering and build a new Shopify website for them, with a view of becoming one of Leicester’s top craft brands and encourage customer engagement.
Working collaboratively with company owners Freya and Sarah, who are obviously extremely creative themselves, led to a perfect project process and the end result speaks for itself.
Services:

A Tactile Brand for a Tactile Business
One of the first pre-requisites of the rebrand was not to deviate too far from their old logomark (as signage and other older collateral was still in use), but to build on it with new typography and more defined features.
From the logo, we expanded the brand out into a series of background textures, colour palette and font choices (ensuring web use was available too).
Finally we pulled all that critical thinking and assets together in a simple to follow and comprehensive set of brand guidelines.

Crafting a Seamless User Experience
While Shopify offers out of the box features for selling physical products, Crafty Sew & So wanted help to add custom code meaning that selling workshops through the website felt intuitive and natural, plus help manages spaces and bookings.
Building a new website from the ground up, and with a UX workshop (which was held in nearby St. Martins) we designed and developed a new bespoke Shopify website with all the features and settings they needed to lift the brand and company to the next level.

“Working with another Leicester business a similar size to ours is always a pleasure, and Freya and Sarah were no different. I enjoyed all the fun we could have with this rebrand, and their requirements merged with Shopify perfectly.”
